TSA Pre✓® is a pre-screening program that allows eligible passengers to volunteer information about themselves to expedite their screening experience when traveling at participating airports. These passengers may be referred to the TSA Pre✓® lane at a checkpoint where they will undergo expedited screening, which could include being able to leave on their shoes, light outerwear, and belt, allowing them to keep their laptop in its case and their 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in carry-on.
Travelers that are eligible for TSA Pre✓® include select U.S. citizens flying on participating airlines; members of the U.S. Armed Forces, including reservists and National Guard members; members of the TSA Pre✓® Application Program; members of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler Program, including Global Entry, SENTRI and NEXUS and Canadian citizens traveling domestically in the United States who are members of NEXUS also are qualified to participate in TSA Pre✓®.
TSA will always incorporate random and unpredictable security measures throughout the airport and no individual is guaranteed expedited screening.
To learn more specifics about how TSA Pre✓® works, who is eligible, how, and where to apply for the TSA Pre✓® Application Program and more, visit www.tsa.gov/precheck.
