BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport is now a proud member of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower!

We’re committed to supporting individuals with non-visible disabilities. Our team has completed the official Sunflower training, ensuring we gain a deeper understanding of nonvisible disabilities and learn how to support Sunflower wearers.

We are making Sunflower lanyards available to passengers and airport visitors with an invisible disability.

How does the program work?

People choose to wear the Sunflower as a subtle way of letting others know they have a non-visible disability and may require additional support, assistance or a bit more time.

Where can I get a Sunflower lanyard?

Pick up a Sunflower lanyard at any staffed Information Desk daily between 5am-9pm. Travelers also have the option to call in to request a lanyard be mailed prior to their travel. For assistance, please contact our Office of Customer Experience at 410-859-7809.
