Portrait of Jim WalshJAMES G. WALSH, A.A.E. is Chief, Division of Business Development & Management and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Walsh was appointed Deputy Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer in October 2012. He returns to a position that he held from 2004 to 2009 and is responsible for all financial, commercial management, capital programming, ground transportation and parking operations at BWI Marshall Airport.

During his earlier tenure at BWI Marshall, he implemented a new concession developer program that doubled sales per enplanement. He also led two successful negotiations for a new airline use and lease agreement that enhanced BWI Marshall’s cost recovery through rates and charges. Mr. Walsh has 28 years of experience in airport management and consulting. He began his aviation career in 1988 with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey’s Aviation Department and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in the Business Administration Division.

In 1996, he joined Landrum & Brown and became a Director in the airport finance practice advising numerous airport clients on financial, property, economic, forecasting and rate setting issues. Mr. Walsh re-joined Landrum & Brown in 2009 as its Vice President — Financial Planning and Forecast Division where he led the firm’s consulting engagements related to financial feasibility, benefit-cost analysis, and capital program modeling among other financial and economic services.

Mr. Walsh received Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in economics from Fordham University in New York. He is also an Accredited Airport Executive and a graduate of Airport Council International’s Airport Executive Leadership Program.
