Temporary markings to be removed following aerial photography

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is currently working to update its mapping database. As part of this mapping project, local residents living in communities near BWI Marshall Airport may observe temporary markings that will be used to help produce highly accurate aerial photographs.

Approximately 40 large markings will be temporarily placed throughout the region. These markings will be used to help calibrate the aerial photographs.

The markings, to be painted on public rights-of-way, will be removed following the aerial photography in coming days.
