Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport today announced a “holiday gift” for customers by offering the first 30 minutes of parking in the Hourly Garage for free. During the upcoming holiday season, the Hourly Garage will be free for the first half-hour, from November 15 through January 15.
“With the start of the peak holiday travel season, we want to ensure the highest level of service and convenience for our customers,” said Paul J. Wiedefeld, Chief Executive Officer of BWI Marshall. “Parking in the Hourly Garage will help motorists avoid the busy terminal roadway when coming to BWI Marshall to pick-up or drop-off family members or friends.”
The BWI Marshall Airport Hourly Garage is located directly adjacent to the terminal. The Hourly Garage offers close, covered, and convenient parking. The garage provides easy access to the Airport terminal by several means, including enclosed skywalks with moving sidewalks. The Hourly Garage also makes use of the BWI Smart Park system, an automated parking guidance system that directs customers to open parking spaces. The second 30 minutes of parking in the Hourly Garage will remain $2.
Parking along I-195 is dangerous and strictly prohibited. The Hourly Garage is a good option for local drivers that are headed to BWI Marshall to meet arriving passengers or drop-off departing travelers. “The Hourly Garage is an easy, quick option for those customers headed to BWI in the holiday season to meet or drop-off travelers,” added Mr. Wiedefeld.
