Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce Honors MAA with “Business Partner of the Year” Award
Anne Arundel County, MD (June 9, 2009) - The Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce has recognized the Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) with the Educational Excellence Award for “Business Partner of the Year.” Glen Burnie High School nominated the MAA for the annual award.
“We thank Glen Burnie High School and the Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce for this award,” said Timothy L. Campbell, Executive Director of the MAA. “BWI Marshall Airport remains committed to our community, and we continue to support education by working with students and teachers from across the region. It is a real honor to be recognized by both the school and the local business community.”
The MAA was honored with the Educational Excellence award as “Business Partner of the Year” for working on several important programs with Glen Burnie High School. MAA employees served on the school’s Business Advisory Board, participated in the school’s Mock Interview Program, and contributed to the Glen Burnie High School annual Career Day. In addition, the MAA is an active member of the Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber’s Education Committee.
“The MAA will continue working with local schools and businesses to support students as they learn and create new skills,” added Mr. Campbell.
